Hair and beauty treatments at your fingertips! – Our booking system made simple.

By booking a hair or beauty appointment at Bella Mia Hair and Beauty, you agree to the Terms & Conditions of the services booked. If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment, please see our cancellation policy.

Please note, if you are booking a hair colour you must book a finish with your service in order for us to be able to complete your style; either a blast dry, blow dry or cutting service.

No show & Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up to your appointment or you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, this does not give us sufficient time to fill this appointment space & causes great losses for a small business like ours.

We kindly ask for 48 hours notice if you cannot attend your appointment. If you are cancelling or re-scheduling, please call the salon so we can be made aware and can make alternative arrangements. Relying on client appointments is how our business operates.

If for the unfortunate reason your hair/beauty appointment should need to be cancelled with less than 48 hours prior to your appointment, your booking fee will be charged and not be carried over to any future appointments. Only if we are able to fill your appointment, as a good will gesture, we will keep your booking fee on your account and it can be used against your following appointment.

We have a ‘no tolerance to no shows’ policy.

Where there is 1 occasion that you do not turn up to your appointment without calling the salon (it must be a phone call) to make us aware you won’t be attending your appointment, this does not give us sufficient time to fill the appointment space and your booking fee will be charged and will not be carried over to any future appointments.

If you have pre-paid for a course or the appointment is a complimentary appointment, please be aware this time still costs the stylist or therapist/business and the following will apply if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or you do not show;

a 50% cancellation fee will be charged when booking your next appointment.

When booking an appointment, whilst we take that appointment in good faith we cannot guarantee that your desired style is achieved by the booked service unless we consult with you in advance. Complimentary consultations are always available.

Whilst we endeavour to be as accurate as possible when quoting a price, we cannot guarantee that unexpected or additional services may not be required to achieve your desired style. We will not begin a service without first agreeing a final cost.

Our Tiered Pricing Structure

The more experience our stylists have, the higher the price point.

  • Future Stylist: Training towards an NVQ in hairdressing
  • Graduate Stylist: Recently qualified
  • Stylist: Minimum 2 years of salon experience
  • Designer: Minimu 5 years of salon experience

Gift Vouchers

  • Available in gift card form where any amount can be added to gift card
  • Valid for 1 year from date of purchase
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash
  • No change will be given, however the remaining balance may be applied to future services and products
  • Gift Vouchers cannot be returned or refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • If for the unfortunate reason you cannot book your desired appointment time & date, we offer a cancellation/waiting list
  • Our cancellation list is regularly monitored & if an appointment becomes available, we will contact you as soon as possible
  • We cannot guarantee an appointment will become available, therefore we advise to book your following appointment as well to avoid disappointment
  • If we have contacted you regarding an appointment becoming available & reach an answerphone, we are unable to hold this appointment open, therefore we require your contact as soon as possible in order to book your desired appointment.
Please note, if you do not apply your patch test prior to your appointment resulting in us being unable to carry out your service, your booking fee may be charged.

Colour Responsible Policy

Bella Mia Hair and Beauty follow a Colour Responsible Policy for the safety and peace of mind of our guests, therefore skin testing is required 48 hours prior to any colour/tinting service.

Bella Mia Hair and Beauty are unable to perform colour services on persons under the age of 16 as the manufacturer’s instructions state; Hair colourants are not intended to be used on persons under the age of 16.

Bella Mia Hair and Beauty follow a Colour Responsible Policy for the safety and peace of mind of our clients. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. We ask you to carry out a skin test 48 hours prior to every colour service, to ensure you are not allergic to the key ingredients in hair colourants.

Allergies can develop at any time and for no apparent reason, therefore you must carry out a skin test before EVERY colour/tinting service. It is a very simple process, which can be carried out from the comfort of your own home.

Manufacturer’s instructions state “Hair colourants are not intended to be used on persons under the age of 16” therefore Bella Mia Hair and Beauty are unable to perform colour services on persons under the age of 16.

Instructions

  1. Remove the out wrapping and peel off the clear protective film.
  2. Press firmly to the inner arm with the logo face down on clean, healthy, grease free skin.
  3. Thoroughly wet the backing card with a wet sponge or water spray until the backing easily slides away from the Colourstart logo.
  4. Pat dry and leave the test on your arm.

Your test will be removed at the salon. We must be able to see the test on your arm upon arrival in order to carry out your colour service. Unfortunately, if you have not carried out your test, we will not be able to undertake the colour service, as your safety is of great importance to us.

When visiting the salon, upon rebooking we will give you another skin test to use before your next appointment. If you are not rebooking we will require you to visit the salon when you are ready to book your next appointment.

We require 50% non-refundable booking fees for all appointments.

An appointment cannot be booked & secured without a booking fee beingtaken. Your booking fee will be deducted from your final bill, although following our ‘no show & cancellation policy’, the fee may become non-returnable.

Should you need to re schedule your appointment and we are given more than 48 hours notice, your deposit will be carried over to your next appointment.

We understand that this may be different to how we’ve worked in the past, however, measures must be put in place in order to help our business survive following the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know life can get in the way therefore we remain flexible & you are able to reschedule or cancel your appointments, however please give us at least 48 hours notice if you wish to keep your 50% booking fee. This notice must be acknowledged by a staff member more than 48 hours before your appointment. Emails or social media messages are not always seen immediately so please call or leave a voicemail.

15 Minute Upgrade Charges

15 minute upgrades may also include but not limited to;
Hair longer than bra strap, thicker than usual hair, restyle, colour transformation etc.

You will be advised of this charge by your stylist during the consultation.

If you are unhappy with your hair or treatment, please try to contact us by phone, email, or visit the salon within 7 days of the appointment to discuss your concerns. We will do our best to put things right as soon as possible. Your statutory rights are not affected. Please see our complaints process and policy at the footer of our website.

  • 45 Minute Appointment (60 Minutes with an future stylist or grad stylist). For clients who go less than 10 weeks between hair cut appointments, usually less than 2 inches for a trim.
  • 60 Minute Appointment (75 minutes with an future stylist or grad stylist). For clients who go more than 10 weeks between hair cut appointments, usually more than 2 inches cut off.

  • 75 Minute Appointment (90 Minutes with a future stylist)
  • Service Includes: Consultation, Shampoo, Condition, Redesign Cut and Blow Dry & home care recommendations.

  • Service Includes: Cut and dry style
  • Appointments booked with senior stylists or designers will be charged at full price
  • Not available in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount.
  • For additional 15 minutes for detangling or shampooing, add an upgrade.

This is a time allocation to add 15 minutes to an appointment (For Example: Redesigns, Extra Styling Requests, Longer/Thicker Hair, hair extensions (longer hair = extra colour needed))

  • £10 per 15 minutes with an future stylist & stylist
  • £15 per 15 minutes with a Senior stylist & Designer
  • 30 minute appointment (45 minutes with an Intern stylist)
  • Service includes Consultation, Shampoo, Condition and Blow Dry only. This could include finishing with straighteners.
  • 45 minute appointment for blow dry & curly finish with tongs, wand or crimpers. (60 minutes with a future stylist) This could include bouncy blow drying with round brush and metal pins/clips. Metal pins/clips aren’t included.
  • 30-45 Minute Appointment (60 Minutes with an future Stylist)
  • Service Includes: Styling on dry hair, grips & pins.
  • 15 Minute Appointment
  • Service Includes: Dry styling with straighteners – either straight or loose curls.
  • Must attend appointment with clean, fully dry hair. (Please note if extra time must be spent drying hair, an additional 15 minute upgrade cost may apply.)
  • Styles include: loose curls or straighten (does not include chopstick wand curl)
  • 15 Minute Appointment
  • Service Includes: Choice from styling from the ‘Curl bar’, ‘Curls n waves’ & ‘It’s the weekend’ dry style menu with heat tools and products.
  • Must attend appointment with clean, fully dry hair. (Please note if extra time must be spent drying hair, an additional 15 minute upgrade cost may apply.)
  • For our ‘Up styles’ menu add a 15 minute upgrade.
  • £10 with an future stylist or stylist
  • £15 with a senior stylist or designer
  • Bridal hair 60 Minute Appointment. (75 Minutes with graduate stylist)
  • Bridal service includes: Style and hair up.
  • Hair Ornaments can be used but must be supplied by bride.
  • Pins and grips supplied by us.

Our callout charge is £60 per team member, plus a mileage charge of £0.35 per mile.

A deposit of 50% deposit is required upon booking and the remaining balance will be required 2 weeks prior to appointment.

  • 30-45 Minute Appointment (30-60 minutes for future stylist) for one colour on the whole length of the hair or for tinting of roots
  • This service must be booked with a Cut and finish or Blow Dry
  • We have a choice of 2 colour ranges, MC2 (vegan friendly & 93% natural ingredients) and premium colour, Guilietta (contains no PPD)

  • Approx 45-90 Minute application for foil highlights and/or lowlights
  • May be more than one colour
  • This service must be booked with a Cut and finish or Blow Dry

What is a complex colour service?

At Bella Mia, we class a colour change, or a colour that isn’t exactly the same as your previous colour, as a complex colour service.

We have your hair conditions best interest in mind.

This means you will be required to attend a complimentary colour consultation with a member of our team.

During the consultation, the following will happen:

  • You’ll be given all the information you’ll need on how to apply the colour start patch test as we practice colour safety. We may apply the patch test for you.
  • We will complete a consultation form with you
  • We will discuss your budget
  • We will discuss your desired results, look at photos and take before photos of your hair
  • We will take small strands of the hair where we can test compatibility. We use also test the strand’s elasticity & strength. We then use the strand to see if your desired results can be achieved.

We will confirm booking details and then be in contact with you within 48 hours to discuss the best route to take for amazing, healthy hair.

Please note when booking a hair extension maintenance appointment the full price of the agreed allotted time will require full payment at the time of booking. The time booked for your maintenance appointment will be fully utilised. If you are unsure of how long you will need for your maintenance appointment, please book a complimentary consultation beforehand.

All consultations are complimentary. These are 15minutes appointments to discuss services and prices in more depth. Quotes for services that can be variable will usually be worked out within a consultation. Quotes given within a consultation will expire after 14 days.

  • Perming & smoothing treatments include a shampoo
  • A blow dry is required with perming & smoothing treatments & are excluded from the price
  • Permanent straightening requires a blow dry to finish & is excluded from the price
  • Perming, smoothing & permanent straightening services will receive first the first shampoo & blow dry afte their treatment for free. This complimentary blowdry is valid for 7 days after appointment with an intern/ grad stylist to. Subject to availability.
